This 66-page booklet contains four clearings ready to be used in any campaign of Root: The RPG, including:
- Bertram's Cove: A key military holding on Grand Lake's eastern edge, this clearing is both vital to the Marquisate and coveted by Alliance pirates. While Commandant Montague offers rewards to catch spies, the Alliance prepares an attack that could significantly weaken Marquisate control.
- Hacksaw Dell: A clearing newly freed from Marquisate control by the Woodland Alliance! The Alliance's improvement efforts through their Assembly of Denizens have stalled amid infighting and endless debates. Meanwhile, the Lizard Cult presents an alternative, offering to share resources if denizens accept the Great Dragon!
- Pellenicky Glade: A clearing under Goshawk family rule—prominent Eyrie Dynasty members who maintained power during the Woodland War. The patriarch's death has plunged the clearing into chaos, with some supporting the Goshawks' continued legacy while others demand change.
- Talon Hill: A potential Eyrie capital contested by the Kingfisher family's three-way succession dispute between the heir, a war hero, and a merchant. Rumors of Lizard Cult sacrifices have heightened tensions, with their orphanage suspected of foul play.
Each clearing contains a description, a core conflict, a set of additional conflicts, and lists of important residents (with stats), important locations, and special rules. Finally, each clearing also contains ideas for how to get the vagabonds involved with the clearing's conflicts when the band first arrives!
